There is something to do in Bansko every day of the week. And if the day happens to be a Thursday, then you should definitely sign up for the pizza & quiz night at the Happy End bar. It’s hosted by Wayne, a veteran of hosting quizzes, bar crawls and much more, so you’re pretty much guaranteed a fun time. Grab the family, grab some pizza and get those brains working.
The Pizza & Quiz Night takes place every Thursday at the Happy End bar, located next to the bottom gondola station. It starts at 8PM and it’s good to be there a little before that, so that you can get a seat closer to the stage. The price is 20lv (10 euros) and a slice of pizza is included. You can get your tickets directly from us at Ski & Board Traventuria, on the spot in the rental shop.
Wayne is a veteran at hosting things like quiz nights.
The whole event is in English and the participants are almost entirely foreigners, so it’s a good place too meet new people as well. Participants are split into teams and are handed out their quiz sheets, where they need to write down their team name and answers. There are a total of 6 rounds with 10 questions each. Each round has a theme and the questions are in some way connected to it. We don’t want to ruin it for you, so we won’t go into details about the questions themselves. The individual round themes can be almost anything. Some require good geography knowledge, other rounds require knowing the names of songs and their artist and so on. You get the picture.
During the quiz there are a few bonus rounds, where Wayne will tell you what you need to do in order to earn a few extra points. If you want your team to win you’ll have to be ready to do funky dances and other challenges. At the end of the quiz, only one team can be declared the winner and competition can be very close. So every point counts.
Possibly the hardest question for some is “Team Name”.
Speaking of winners, what can you actually win? Don’t expect too much, there’s no weekend for 5 in Bali, but you can win a nice bottle of champagne or wine. Whoever is last wins a date with Wayne, so that should be stimulation enough for you to try hard at getting points.
