Skip the Bansko gondola queue for € 5,- per person

The February mid-term school vacations are slowly approaching and we all know what that means for Bansko. Big queues at the base gondola station. Just like previous years, we’re expecting many skiers and snowboarders to make their way out to Bulgaria with the whole family for some winter fun between the 8th and 29th of February. And while the lift lines aren’t that bad on the mountain, the gondola is like a funnel and the queue can be over an hour long in the morning.
Don’t worry, we do have a solution for you! There are many ways to avoid the big queue, but the surest, fastest and most comfortable way is to book a shuttle in advance. At 5 euros per person, you can save a seat in one of our daily shuttles, which will be driving people up to the ski area every day. All you need to do is follow the link below, find the dates you will be in Bansko and reserve a spot for each member of your group. The pickup is at our rental shop, just below the base gondola station at 92E Pirin Str., 2770 Bansko (

– online booking is active for dates 2 days ahead of time;
– this is not a regular public bus service and you cannot show up expecting to find free seat for you or your group if you have not pre-booked them;
– booking online in advance is the best and only way to guarantee your hassle free ride to the upper Gondola station;
– the seats online are subject to availability; they sell out fast; make sure to book well ahead of time;

While big queues and too many people are always a bummer, you should keep in mind that it’s like this in many ski resorts across Europe, not just Bansko. We advise just taking it easy and making the most out of your stay by taking advantage of all that the resort has to offer. Such as the mineral springs in the neighboring villages, the great food in most Taverns (called Mehana in Bulgarian) and the clubs and bars.

Ever since I started skiing at the age of 6, I knew that the mountains were where I wanted to be as much as possible. I enjoy most mostly big mountain skiing during the winter, but am happy just being out of the city.
