Restoring Performance Without Sacrificing Gear Lifespan
At Ski & Board Traventuria, we believe ski servicing is an art form backed by exact science. Unlike ordinary service shops that over-file edges or rely on harsh manual scraping—often ruining skis in a single season—our philosophy is built on maximum precision with minimal material loss.
Whether it is our own rental fleet or your personal private equipment, our master technicians perform up to 7 meticulous preliminary steps before gear ever touches our CSA TFT5P robot ski service machine. That is why we still maintain high-performing skis over 6–7 years old in our fleet that have been serviced dozens of times without degrading performance or structural integrity.
Our 2-Phase Precision Restoration Process
Phase 1: Master Preparation & Hand Craftsmanship
Before automation takes over, every pair of skis or snowboard undergoes careful human inspection and hands-on preparation:
- Professional P-Tex Injection: Deep scratches and base gouges are filled using a high-pressure Montana injection gun. We strictly avoid cheap “candle-dripped” P-Tex melting; overheated base material turns brittle and quickly drops out on cold snow.
- Coarse Sanding (80-Grit): Gently removes shallow surface scratches and cleans away excess injected base material.
- Leveling & Smoothing (120-Grit): Smooths out base irregularities, ensuring the base and metal edges sit on the exact same flat plane.
- Trizact Fine Sanding: Skis are sanded with fabric-fine abrasive belts for a flawless, uniform finish.
- Edge & Base Alignment Check: Our master technicians verify that edges and bases are fully balanced before passing the equipment forward.
⚠️ Why This Matters: Many service shops in Bansko, Sofia, and Borovets still rely on heavy hand filing. This frequently leaves uneven base surfaces, leading to poor control, edge catching, and irreversible base damage.
Phase 2: Robotic Precision Tuning (CSA TFT5P Robot)
Once hand prep is complete, equipment moves to our state-of-the-art CSA TFT5P tuning robot—a machine engineered with micron-level adjustment settings that no human hand pressure can replicate.
- Stone Grinding: Uses a stone finer than any sandpaper or file, smoothing the base while leaving zero burrs.
- Custom Base Structure: Applies precise, reproducible base structures engineered for optimal water displacement and effortless carving in various snow conditions.
- Micron-Precise Edge Tuning: Sets exact side and base bevel angles across the entire length of the ski, catching the razor edge consistently without over-grinding.
- Flawless High-Gloss Finish: Polishes base edges at the tip and tail while applying protective thermal wax.
⚠️ While the CSA TFT5P robot can process up to 60 pairs per hour, its flawless output depends entirely on our rigorous preliminary hand preparation.

Beyond standard tuning, our experienced workshop technicians handle complex hardware repairs and custom ski setups on-site (subject to spare part/ time availability):
